DPP decision on Hepatitis C scandal criticised

Speaking at a meeting of the Sinn Fein national Women's Committee in Dublin last night, General Secretary Lucilita Bhreatnach strongly criticised the DPP decision against a prosecution of negligent persons involved in the Hepatitis C scandal.

Ms. Bhreatnach said:

``It is deplorable and completely unacceptable that women, citizens of this state, should be deprived of its support in defence of our basic human right to proper health care.

``The matter cannot simply end here. We fully support these women in their efforts to pursue justice.''
