Adams welcomes decision to negotiate on the substantive issues
Sinn Fein President Gerry Adams MP has welcomed the decision by the two governments and all of the parties to ``negotiate on the substantive issues.''
Mr. Adams said:
``This is an historic day.
``All of the participants have voted to move into negotiation on the substantive issues.
``There is a heavy onus on all of the parties to now get down to the real and urgent business of making peace.
``We look forward to putting to the other participants our republican analysis and our vision for a New Ireland, united and democratic, and at peace.
``We also look forward to listening to the views of the others.
``Our shared responsibility is to now make peace a reality.''
