Adams welcomes `positive tone'

Sinn Fein President Gerry Adams MP has welcomed the positive tone of this weeks An Phoblacht/Republican News interview with the IRA.

Mr. Adams said:

``Sinn Fein welcomes the position and helpful tone of this week's An Phoblacht/Republican News interview with the leadership of the IRA.

``There is a collective responsibility on political leaders to match the public mood by working hard to quickly implement the provisions of the Good Friday Agreement. This means speedy progress on the timeframe, institutions and political process put in place in April by the agreement.''ENDS
