Sinn Fein Leadership for U.S.
Sinn Fein's Chief Negotiator Martin Mc Guinness has welcomed the announcement of U.S. visas for himself and party President Gerry Adams and newly elected TD Caoimhghin O Caolain.
Mr Mc Guinness said:
``Party President Gerry Adams MP, Caoimhghin O Caolain TD and myself, will be travelling to the United States on September 6th for a hectic round of meetings and fundraising events.
``Our first two days will be spent in Washington meeting senior political figures. We will then travel to New York for a major fund raiser and for a public rally. I will finish my trip in San Francisco. Caoimhghin O Caolain will travel to Chicago and Gerry Adams will be in the Boston area.
`` We are looking forward to our visit and to the opportunity to brief people on the current situation just days before substantive negotiations.''
