Adams appeals for ``calm and restraint''
Sinn Fein President Gerry Adams has appealed for ``cool heads, calm and restraint in the difficult days ahead''.
Mr. Adams said:
``There is a responsibility upon everyone in leadership to use their influence to calm the situation at this difficult time.
``There is especially an onus on John Major and Patrick Mayhew and on Unionist leaders.
``On my part I appeal for a disciplined, calm and restrained approach from Republicans and Nationalists''
