Councillor Opposes Dock Plan

North Inner City Sinn Fein Councillor, Christy Burke, stated today that his constituents are extremely concerned at the DDDA plans to impose high rise buildings on the community.

Councillor Burke said:

``Residents are worried with regards to the DDDA plans. The prospects of turning the docklands into a mini Manhattan is outrageous. This has been compounded by failure on the part of developers to consult with the community. If they wish to remain aloof from the area's residents then they can stay out of the ares.''
