Review must not be just another stalling tactic
Following the meeting between Senator George Mitchell and a Sinn Fein delegation led by Gerry Adams the Sinn Fein the Sinn Fein Vice-President, Pat Doherty said:
``The UUP are the defaulting party to the Agreement. We have always been sceptical about the Ulster Unionist attitude to its implementation and we remain so.''
``We listened to what the senator had to say and expressed our view that the focus must be on the UUP's veto on the establishment of the institutions and the blocking of the transfer of power from the British government. We will take on board the discussion that we have had with Senator Mitchell and that which we will have with Mr Blair tomorrow.
``The one thing that is for sure is that we cannot allow the Unionists to use this review as just another stalling exercise.
``Our Ardchomhairle will be meeting at the weekend and a more considered position will come out of that.''
