Adams welcomes Trimble/Mallon statement

Sinn Fein President Gerry Adams MP this evening welcomed the joint statement from David Trimble and Seamus Mallon.

Mr. Adams said:

``I would like to welcome the statement today from Mr. Trimble and Mr. Mallon. They are right to call on the Orange Order to call off their siege of the Garvaghy Road. In the aftermath of the Ballymoney tragedy it is the only course of action.''ENDS
