Kelly calls for clear statement on prisoners

Gerry Kelly, Sinn Fein's Assembly Member for North Belfast, has called on Mo Mowlam to categorically state that there will be no unionist-dictated political interference in the prisoner release programme.

Mr Kelly said that any interference in the accelerated release programme would represent a clear breach of the Good Friday Agreement and he has called on Ms. Mowlam to confirm her government's position.
