Prisoner releases should continue
Statement from Mid Ulster MP, Martin McGuinness, accusing the Conservative party spokesperson Andrew McKay of trying to ``undermine the Good Friday Agreement'' following his comments about the release of Pat Magee today.
Mr. McGuinness said:
``I am not surprised by Mr McKay's remarks. He has been attacking the peace process and the Good Friday Agreement for some time and has been using the release of prisoners to whip up opposition to the agreement.
``His remarks should be ignored by the British and Irish governments and should not be allowed to interfere with the release programme.''
