Vote Sinn Fein for positive change
Sinn Fein Chairperson, Mitchel McLaughlin, has said that anyone interested in maintaining pressure on the two governments and the unionists to engage in meaningful negotiations involving all parties should cast their vote for Sinn Fein.
Cllr. McLaughlin said:
``This particular election, whether we wanted it or not, is now about trying to move the political situation on towards a credible peace process.
``A vote for Sinn Fein is a vote for a democratic peace settlement. It is a message to John Major that his policy of excluding Sinn Fein is unacceptable. A vote for Sinn Fein will endorse the positive role that Sinn Fein has played in the search for a comprehensive peace agreement and for Sinn Fein's right to be at the negotiations representing their electorate.
``Use your vote to its greatest effect on Thursday. By voting Sinn Fein you will be sending a clear message to the British government that they must put in place a credible negotiating process which will deal with the issues at the heart of the conflict.''
