Promises on Housing Must be Substantiated
Dublin's North Inner City Sinn Fein Councillor Christy Burke has guardedly welcomed the statement by Bobby Molloy, at last weekend's PD Conference, announcing the allocation of new housing in the city.
However, Councillor Burke explained that urgent clarification is needed on the issue:
``While I would unambiguously welcome any action to alleviate the housing problem, I would also call on Mr Molloy to clarify where the land for these houses is going to come from. Pre - election rhetoric is not enough for those who are suffering the brunt of an acute lack of affordable accomodation''.
