Gach beannacht do Uachtarán Robinson ó Shinn Fein

Sinn Fein President Gerry Adams commenting on the decision of President Mary Robinson not to stand for re-election said:

``President Robinson will be fondly remembered as the President who sought to embrace excluded communities, to be inclusive in her approach and to reach out to the Irish diaspora throughout the world.

``Her visits to the north were particularly memorable.

``President Robinson placed the issue of women's rights and equality for all citizens very firmly on the political agenda.

``I wish her well and wish her every success in the future.

``Guím gach beannacht do Uachtarán Robinson agus í ag éirí as oifig agus tá súil agam go mbeidh gach rath uirthi amach anseo.''
