Adams Meets with Ahern to Discuss Crisis
Sinn Fein President, Gerry Adams MP speaking at Government Buildings after his meeting with the Taoiseach today, expressed the need for the full implementation of the Good Friday Agreement without further delay.
Mr. Adams said:
``The nature of the meeting with the Taoiseach was full, frank and constructive. We agreed that the Good Friday Agreement must be implemented in all aspects. That's what 85% of the people on this island voted for. That's everyone's responsibility. We are commited to resolving all difficulties in the context of the Agreement. Clearly there is a crisis, that crisis stems from David Trimbles threat to the two Governments to walk away from the peace process if he doesn't get what he wants.
``The two governments must focus in a way that they haven't hitherto and stick to the commitments they have made. If the two governments don't defend the Agreement then who will ?''
