No Correspondence - Sinn Fein

Sinn Fein Ard Chomhairle member Martin McGuinness replying to media reports that the British government has replied to a fax from Gerry Adams to John Major said:

``We have not yet received such a letter. When we do we will respond to it.

``As has been said many times, and as the vast majority of people recognise, the only way to resolve this conflict is through dialogue. Discrimination against a section of the electorate is not the way forward.

``Mr. Major knows this as well as I do''
