Adams to meet Blair
Sinn Fein President Gerry Adams MP will today travel to London for a meeting later this afternoon with British Prime Minister Tony Blair. The meeting is part of the ongoing dialogue between Sinn Fein and the British government as we seek to advance the peace process.
A spokesperson for Mr. Adams said:
``With just over three weeks remaining before the March 10th date for the transfer of power from the two governments to the structures proposed in the Good Friday Agreement, every effort must be made to push ahead with the full implementation of the Agreement.
``Mr. Adams will urge the British Prime Minister to grasp the political nettle and move speedily to the next steps in the process - the triggering of D'Hondt, the setting up of the Shadow institutions and the transfer of power.''
