UDP Decision is correct one - Adams

Sinn Fein President Gerry Adams MP commenting on the decision by the UDP to return to the talks process on Monday said:

``The decision by the UDP is the correct one. The PUP, and the other unionist parties who are outside the talks process should now move to join with us around the negotiating table.

``However, having overcome this particular difficulty we still face on Monday the obstructive approach by the UUP and the loyalist parties which marked the discussions prior to Christmas.

``The Unionists are trying to assert a veto both inside and outside the talks and its up to the two governments, and especially the British government, to ensure that this does not happen.

``The onus is on the two government to grab this process by the scruff of the neck and drive it forward with urgency. They also have to speedily introduce the equality agenda and move on human and civil rights issues. These are rights not concessions and are non negotiatable.''
