Ó Snodaigh calls on people of Dublin to join anti-war protest outside Dáil this evening
Sinn Fein spokesperson on International Affairs Aengus Ó Snodaigh TD has called on the people of Dublin to support an Anti-War protest outside Leinster House tonight between 6pm and 7pm. The protest has been organised to co-incide with the Dáil debate on the use of Shannon Airport as a staging post for US/British war on Iraq. Deputy Ó Snodaigh said:
``I have never witnessed such blatant disregard for the wishes of the Irish people as that displayed by this government. Tonight in the Dáil Sinn Fein, along with other opposition TDs, will call on the government to immediately end their complicity in the US/British war build-up.
``I am calling on people to join the protest tonight to let the government know that Ireland's involvement with the US war machine is not being done in their name.''ENDS
