Kelly responds to PUP comments

Speaking after today's press conference by the PUP North Belfast Sinn Fein MLA Gerry Kelly said that the PUP'S decision was regrettable and that the lack of political leadership from the main unionist parties left the PUP with little other option.

`` Today's announcement by the PUP is regrettable. Unfortunately a lack  of leadership within the Unionist community has left the PUP with no other option. David Ervine made this clear at the last round table discussions after the UUP walkout.

`` This is not a time for walking away or giving up. It is a critical time and it is a time for engagement and dialogue. It is clear that dialogue is the only way forward. Our objective, in this, is to see a situation where all of the unionist political representatives - UUP, PUP and DUP participate fully in the process''.
