Dáil debate on North should proceed next week - Ó Caoláin
Sinn Fein Dáil leader Caoimhghín Ó Caoláin has said that the scheduled Dáil debate on the peace process should proceed next week and should be used for constructive engagement and not the blame game . Deputy Ó Caoláin said:
``The government had scheduled a Dáil debate on the peace process for next week, in the aftermath of the now cancelled publication of the Joint Declaration by the Taoiseach and the British Prime Minister. That debate should proceed and the Taoiseach should ensure that it is an informed debate by publishing the Joint Declaration.
``The debate is an opportunity for constructive engagement. It should not be used as a blame game but should focus on the need for all parties and both governments to consolidate and build upon the progress made in the negotiations of recent days and weeks.''
