Dublin to hold rally to oppose cancellation of elections

Dublin Sinn Fein are holding a rally in Dublin at 12noon tomorrow, Saturday 3rd, to protest against the cancellation of the Assembly elections. The rally will take place outside the GPO and the main speakers will be Sean Crowe TD and Finian McGrath, Independent TD. Statements of support will be read out from Joe Costello, Labour TD and trade unionist Mick O' Reilly. Speaking beforehand Deputy Sean Crowe said:

"It is extremely important that the people of Dublin come out tomorrow and voice their opposition to this blatant attack on democracy. We must show that the cancellation of elections will not wash with the people of this city, the majority of whom supported the Good Friday Agreement."
