Kelly calls for collective opposition to sectarian violence
Sinn Fein North Belfast MLA Gerry Kelly speaking ahead of today's meeting with Des Brown said:
``Sinn Fein has been pushing for a meeting of this kind for some time. All of us in political leadership have a collective responsibility to tackle sectarianism and must present common opposition to sectarian violence.
``This is what today's meeting should be about as sectarian violence is the biggest challenge to the peace process.
``If the Good Friday Agreement means anything it is about how it affects the lives of ordinary people and their right to live free from sectarian harassment. At present this is not the reality and this is an unacceptable situation.''
