SF support for anti-nuclear flotilla
``Government must do more to oppose nuclear shipment'' - O'Toole
Sinn Fein Dublin City Councillor Larry O'Toole has said that the government must do more to oppose the shipment of MOX fuel to Sellafield which is due to sail through the Irish Sea later this month. Speaking at the launch of the anti-nuclear flotilla, including the Rainbow Warrior, at Dublin Port this morning (Sunday) Cllr. O'Toole said:
``The Government has claimed that it cannot impede the two ships bound for Sellafield. But it could send Irish naval vessels to monitor their movements from close quarters. This would send a strong dignal of disapproval from the Irish government to the British government and its nuclear industry. These naval vessels could also accompany the anti-nuclear flotilla, thus expressing the overwhelming demand of the people of Dublin and Ireland for the closure of Sellafield.''
