Shut Sellafield Protest

Sinn Fein will hold a picket tomorrow morning, Thursday 26th September, at 9.30am outside Academy House, 19 Dawson Street (beside EU Parliament buildings) where a conference on ``Making Sense of Sellafield'' is to be held.

Sinn Fein TD Arthur Morgan, who took part in the flotilla of anti-Sellafield vessels earlier this month, and Sinn Fein MLA Francie Molloy will attend the picket.

The Louth Deputy said: ``The only way to make sense of Sellafield is to close it down. As long as it remains, so remains the threat to the Irish people. The danger of Sellafield does not recognise borders and so I am pleased to welcome my Assembly colleague Francie Molloy to this protest to demonstrate that this issue is something of concern to all the people of Ireland.''
