Sinn Fein calls for all posters and cable ties to be removed to protect environment
Sinn Fein is calling on all parties to act in an environmentally responsible manner in disposing of referendum poster materials. Sinn Fein Nice referendum campaign manager Daithí Doolan has made the following appeal:
``Sinn Fein has directed its membership to ensure that all materials posted during the referndum campaign are disposed of in their entirity. As well as removing all Sinn Fein posters we are instructing our campaign workers to dispose of all cable ties in place from this referendum and previous election campaigns regardless of who put them in place.
``We call on all parties and groups involved in postering for the referendum campaign to instruct their workers in a similar manner so as to ensure that our environment does not suffer as a result of the extensive postering throughout the state. It is imperative that both posters and the cable ties that are used to attach them are removed.''
