Trimble remarks dismissed

Sinn Fein Assembly member Conor Murphy has dismissed remarks made by UUP leader David Trimble as ``a predictable single issue tirade''.

Mr. Murphy said:

``Mr. Trimble s remarks are unfortunately a predictable singe issue tirade. The fact is that the single issue agenda being promoted by Mr. Trimble today was dismissed weeks ago at the start of the multi-party talks which he failed to attend.

``The only way to move this process forward is through the implementation of all the outstanding aspects of the Good Friday Agreement. That is what the agenda for the talks reflects and that must remain the focus of the two governments and all of the pro-Agreement parties in the time ahead.''
