Irish Glass Bottle factory march to IBEC offices
Following on from todays successful action, the 400 workers from the Irish Glass Bottle factory will march from the factory in Ringsend to the Irish Business and Employers Confederation, 84 Lower Baggot Street tomorrow morning at 9am.
Sinn Fein Dublin South East Representative, Daithí Doolan spoke this morning from the Irish Glass Bottle factory in Ringsend, as the strike was made official.
``The march and rally tomorrow is part of a rolling series of events to raise the issue of the Ardagh Managements refusal to accept the recommendations of the Labour Relations Court.
All the workers understand the wider implications of this strike, that they are not only striking for themselves but also for the future of industrial relations in the state. Morale is very high down here and the workers are prepared for the long haul.''
