Sinn Fein TD to speak at CND Conference in London

Sinn Fein TD Caoimhghín Ó Caoláin will be in London on Saturday 20 October to speak at a Conference organised by the Camapign for Nuclear Disarmament.

The Conference will voice opposition to the US/British bombardment of Afghanistan and to the development of `National Missile Defence' by the Bush administration.

The Sinn Fein TD will speak on the referendum victory of the Anti-Nice Treaty campaign in Ireland and will urge a campaign of `people power' to press for the closure of the Sellafield nuclear plant in Cumbria. He will share a platform with British Labour MP Diane Abbot and Danish MEP Herman Schmid.

The Conference is at the University of Westminster and the plenary session in which the Sinn Fein TD will speak begins at 3.15pm.
