Adams reacts to the tragic death of Sean Mac Stiofain

Reacting to news of the tragic death of republican Seán Mac Stiofain,  Sinn Fein President Gerry Adams MP has this morning expressed his condolences to Sean's wife Maire and his family and friends.  

Mr. Adams said:

``Seán MacStiofain will be missed by republicans everywhere.  He played a leading role throughout his life in the struggle for social justice and a united Ireland.

``He was also committed to the promotion of the Irish language and for many years was an active and leading member of Conradh na Gaeilge.

``Those of us who were privileged to know him well will mourn his passing deeply.

``I measc laochra na nGael a raibh sé.''
