Orange Order walk out of Currin initiative
Upper Bann Sinn Fein MLA Dr. Dara O'Hagan has hit out at the Orange Order after they pulled out of the Currin initiative aimed at resolving the Drumcree marching issue.
Dr. O Hagan said:
``The actions of the Orange Order today clearly show, once again, that they have no wish to engage in dialogue in order to resolve the marching issue.
``Time and time again processes aimed at resolving this issue have been set in motion only to fall apart when the Orange Order walked away, refusing to co-operate.
``This marching issue can only be resolved through dialogue. Unfortunately, to date, the Orange Order has refused to talk to the residents of the Garvaghy Road. Once again the Orange Order has walked away from a process aimed at resolving this dispute to the satisfaction of all involved.''ENDS
