Sinn Fein postpones Cavan office opening by Gerry Adams

Sinn Fein has announced the postponement of the opening of its new office in Cavan Town this evening (Thursday) by Sinn Fein President Gerry Adams MP.

Cavan/Monaghan Sinn Fein TD Caoimhghín Ó Caoláin said:

``We have taken this decision following consultation with a wide range of people and in light of the seriousness of the situation arising from the possible outbreak and spread of foot and mouth.''

Sinn Fein has also deferred a public general election campaign launch in Enniskillen, County Fermanagh, this evening and a number of other party events around the country.
