Adams appeals to Trimble
Sinn Fein President Gerry Adams MP speaking in the Assembly today said:
``We have to decide whether the government is here or whether it is vested in the Ulster Unionist council.
You cannot have an Executive and an Assembly putting together the type of Programme for Government which we are debating today if the First Minister has already commenced an exit strategy, and, in his own words, he only differs from the rejectionists within his party on the issue of tactics.
``I want to appeal to the First Minister to review and to step back form the process which he has commenced. The conclusion to what David Trimble has begun will see not just the suspension but also the collapse of these political institutions.''
