Labour volte face on bin charges?
Sinn Fein Louth County Councillor Arthur Morgan has welcomed last night's (Monday's) announcement by Labour Party TD Michael Bell that Labour has come out against refuse collection charges as a result of Sinn Fein's effective campaign in Drogheda against bin charges.
The Sinn Fein councillor said:
``Householders and campaigners in Drogheda deserve tremendous credit for bringing the Labour Party on board in the anti-charges campaign.''
Councillor Morgan called on Labour leader Ruairí Quinn to come out and publicly endorse Deputy Bell's commitment that the Labour Party will not enter coalition government with any party unless bin charges are axed.
