Mr. Ferris will be providing briefings on developments in the peace process in Ireland on Tuesday, March 14th and Wednesday, March 15 (a schedule of times and venues follows). Mr. Ferris will be attending a benefit fund-raiser for Friends of Sinn Fein, which is the US organization which supports the Sinn Fein political party.

His recent political experience includes being a senior negotiator in the Good Friday Agreement and a lead Sinn Fein delegate to the Forum for Peace and Reconciliation convened by the Irish government. Along with Gerry Adams and Martin McGuinness, he was a member of the first Sinn Fein delegation to meet with a British Prime Minister in seventy-five years.

Mr. Ferris holds two elected positions as a Sinn Fein Councilor on the Kerry County Council and the Tralee Urban District Council. He is also a Sinn Fein national candidate in the next general election for Leinster House. (Dail Eireann)
