Sinn Fein call on CIRA to disband
Following the bomb explosion in Irvinestown, Co. Fermanagh tonight, Sinn Fein's Martin McGuinness MP unequivocally condemned this attack by the Continuity IRA and called on them to disband.
Mr. McGuinness said:
``I am relieved that no one was injured in the explosion at an Irvinestown Hotel this evening. According to news reports the explosion occurred following a warning from the Continuity IRA. If this is accurate and I have no reason to believe otherwise I condemn it unequivocally.
``The people responsible for this bomb are not acting in the interests of republicanism or of the Irish people. They have no support in our community and should disband.''
