    Towards a lasting peace

  1. Support the motion   Oppose the motion

That this Ard Fheis commends and salutes the tireles efforts of the Sinn Fein leadership in striving to achieve the full implementation of the Good Firday Agreement as negotiated. That the Ard Fheis also commends the dedication and solidarity of the POW departments, their families and support groups throughout the world.

  2. Support the motion   Oppose the motion

That this Ard Fheis rejects the distorted one-sided propaganda from political and media pundits calling on the IRA to leave the nationalist community as defenceless as they were in 1969, while the killers of the Troubles first victims are still carrying and using their weapons on the streets where their civilian victims families live. This Ard Fheis dismisses the ``expert opinion'' which constantly complains about the release of prisoners, many of whom have served long periods. while showing no concern for the relatives of victims like Julie Livingstone, Nora McCabe and Seamus Duffy, whose RUC killers never served a day in jail. The Ard Fheis urges all Sinn Fein activists to respond, in whatever way possible, to this pernicious propaganda.
