    Asylum Seekers/Refugees

  1. Support the motion   Oppose the motion

That this Ard Fheis calls upon the Ard Chomhairle to effect a policy of reaching out to members of ethnic communities in the various constituencies. The island of Ireland has a large number of people who belong to ethnic minorities and these people currently feel un-represented. These people also feel marginalised and without access to due political processes. We would call upon the Ard Chomhairle to address this issue so that we could offer these groups support and access to political representation.

    Upper Bann Comhairle Ceantair

  2. Support the motion   Oppose the motion

That this Ard Fheis calls on the Dublin government to introduce legislation which would give asylum seekers the right to work and if they wish to become citizens of Ireland.

  3. Support the motion   Oppose the motion

That Sinn Fein should play a prominent pro-active role in opposing any suggestion/debate that the 26 Counties should enter the British Commonwealth.
